What Is Proximity Key?

A proximity key (also known as Keyless Go, Smart Key, Push Button Start.Keyless Access.Keyless Entry or Push-to-Start) is a device that permits a key-less entry and push to start ignition in your vehicle.
When owner is within the appropriate distance, the smartkey interacts through RF waves with your vehicle main computer to lock and unlock doors and trunk and even to ignite the engine having the key in the pocket.
30 years ago, Mercedes-Benz was the first company to implement this system in the market.
As for today, vehicle owners can utilize proximity keys and pushtostart ignition on nearly every automobile models and use functions such as vehicle anti theft protection, alarm, automatic door unlocking or closing , mirror adjustment and many more.
