A proximity key (also known as Intelligent Key, Keyless Go, Push Button Start.Keyless Access.Keyless Entry or Smart Key) is a device that permits a keyless entry and ignition mechanism in your vehicle.
When owner is within the appropriate radius, the keyless entry communicate using audio and infrared frequency waves with your auto motive to lock and unlock doors and trunk and even to crank the engine while having the key in the pocket.
30 years ago, Mercedes-Benz was the first company to implement this system in a vehicle.
Presently, auto motive drivers can utilize push-to-start ignition and keyless entry devices on nearly every vehicle models and enjoy functionality such as mirror adjustment, remote start, auto theft deter protection, power windows and many more.
